Foam Marker Trouble-Shooting

 If you are having issues with your foam marker, or it’s not working.Check the list below for common issues with a list of possible fixes. 

Issue

The Compressor unit does not work,the warning lights do not turn on.

Causes

1.  No Power to control Box

• Check the fuse
• Check the electric connections of the control box

2.  Electric connection between control box compressor cut off

•  Check the connections between the control box and the electric compressor

Issue

No Foam coming out from the foam marker

Causes

1. Tank is not pressurized.

• Close the tank cap properly.
• Check the tightness of the pipes connecting the compressor with the cap.

2.  Break in the pneumo/hydraulic Circuit

• Check that there are no cracks in the dark blue pipe inside the tank (from the filter to the plug) and on the outer pipes.Clean the bottom filter of liquid
• Check for any constrictions along the pipes

Issue

Foam Formation is not good

Causes

1. Sponge dirty or hardened

• Clean or replace the sponge in the drop pipe

2. Water-foaming agent mix old

• Redo the water-foaming agent mix

3.  Flow-rate adjustment wrong

• Use the flow-rate regulator on the tank cap to obtain a sufficiently dense foam

4.  Constrictions in pipes

• Check the tubes to the foam markers

Issue

Bleed Air from the Max. Pressure Valve onto the Plug

Cause

Constrictions in pipes

• Check the tubes to the foam markers

Issue

Air or liquid leaks from the fittings

Cause

Incorrect fitting seal

• Detach the hose at the snap or threaded fittings and shorten itby around 10 mm to eliminate deformations at the fitting.

Issue

The compressor unit does not work, the warning lights flash only once

Cause

+/- power reversed

• Repair the electric connection
